WCLOS19 is here. Are You Ready?

Dear WordPress Enthusiasts,

First off, I would like to sincerely apologise to my Muslim Brothers and Sisters for this years’ event dates taking place within the first week of Ramadan. We are super sorry for this and we promise to ensure this will not happen again at future WordCamps. We will be making provisions to have your lunches and beverages packed on all days, please fill this form to enable us do that: https://hdytech.typeform.com/to/WDgB7J (this will only take eight seconds on your time).

All you need to know about WCLOS19, an interview with Adedayo, an organiser for this event.

The second annual edition of WordCamp Lagos is happening this May 10th – 12th, 2019. The schedule is out, we listened to your feedbacks from last year and we brought practical workshops this year. On Friday May 10th, we will host two concurrent practical sessions on development, UX, blogging, and business. Check the schedule for topics that are within your interest and make it a date to attend, check out this post on convincing your boss to allow you attend these workshops. There will be lots of refreshments, lunches on all three days and swags to take home.

If you are yet to sign up, please do so here: https://2019.lagos.wordcamp.org/tickets – We are offering a 20% off this year to all community members, use this code ‘upliftnaija’ to get your discount. If you are having trouble using the Paystack on the website for payments, please pay into GTB account, Job Mary Mojisola 0454128281, and send a text message including your name, email and tshirt size so i can have you registered in the system. (Last year, i used my company accounts and had issues with the tax office 😓so we decided to stick to Paystack this year. We understand some people may still have issues with that so we are here to assist).

On Saturday, there will be panel sessions covering solutions and experiences on the WordPress Ecosystem, Security, Payment, and Business for freelancers, bloggers, developers and business owners.

The Kids and Teen camp for ages 8 – 17 will also take place on Saturday, the tickets are free in honour of Catherine Egwali, an amazing Woman of WordPress who passed away this year. Please use ‘catherine’ as the coupon code to sign up your wards.

On Sunday between 12 noon – 5pm, we will host our very first Contributor day in Nigeria. Click here to learn about contributor day.

Still in doubt? Watch Olamides’ recaps from the event in 2018 and a summary of what will happen this year 2019. Do not forget to subscribe to her channel here to stay tuned to WordCamp recaps in Africa.

See you there.

Mary Job.

  1. Good evening,
Pls where is the venue and time duration for the kids/teen camp?

  2. I have registered and paid via Paystack and I haven’t received any notification yet.
What do I need to do?
I guess coming to the venue will sort this out.
